We interviewed Mr. Sato, an engineer who develops apps using FileMaker at Ayatori System Co., Ltd., about why they introduced Repsona and his experience using it.

What kind of work do you use Repsona for?

Mr. Sato: I'm developing a custom app on the FileMaker platform. Development is done by one person, but testing is a team effort of 2–3 people, so I use Repsona to coordinate that collaboration.

Do you have any issues you felt before using Repsona?

Mr. Sato: I felt we needed an online tool to share information and manage test cases for our system tests. However, the well-known tools had too many features for small teams and ended up being cumbersome.

I was looking for a tool that would let me get started as quickly as possible and wouldn’t take long to learn.

Why did you choose Repsona?

Mr. Sato: Repsona can be used immediately after signing up, and the interface is intuitive, so I felt it would be easy to roll out to the team. Because it focuses on just the essential features for small-scale use, members could understand and adopt it quickly.

I also like that it has a knowledge base feature (called “Notes” in Repsona) for information sharing and document management. Task management and document management are often separate tools, but it’s very convenient to keep procedures, simple specifications, and conventions right next to the tasks.

How do you feel about using Repsona?

Mr. Sato: I started using it because it was easy to get started. I’ve been a user since the early Repsona beta. At first it felt a bit limited, even though I saw a lot of potential. But when I sent feedback about features I wanted, most of them were implemented. I felt it would be sufficient for our use, so I decided to stick with it.

Please tell us what you expect from Repsona in the future

Mr. Sato: It already has all the necessary pieces, though of course there are small details where you think, “I wish this worked a bit more like this.” I expect it will keep getting better as more people use it.
